Site Engineer

1. Study the specifications and drawings properly and check with the Project Manager for any confusion/clarification.
2. Calculate all the quantities of the project and compare with tendered B.O.Q.
3. Difference in quantity with BOQ to be noted and discuss with the Project Manager and reported to the office.
4. Demarcation points to be extended outside the plot limits by off-set points, protected and kept without disturbance.
5. Level point (benchmark) to be marked and kept without disturbance.
6. Check the working drawings of subcontractors and make sure that all his scope of works as per contract are included and if he shows any work to be done by others, this must be checked with Contract Section.
7. Check the contracts and related documents for any discrepancy. Subcontractors’ material to be checked properly and must be as specified and approved and any material not as specified must be removed from the site immediately.
8. The subcontractor must follow all the items mentioned in his agreement.
9. Prepare bar bending schedule for the reinforcement of all elements.
10. Arrange material orders in advance accurately and consult the project manager before forwarding it to the Head Office for procurement.
11. Arrange proper distribution of workers and check their daily output.
12. Supervise the work of Subcontractors and make sure that they are using only approved materials and that the works are carried out as per approved drawings.
13. Avoid wastage of materials, manpower and time by proper supervision.
14. Ensure that all materials are protected from weather effects.
15. Avoid any repair work by improving the quality of the work.
16. Compare progress of works with approved program every week to avoid any delay and any delay should be reported and action must be taken to overcome the delay.
17. Review, study and implement quality management system procedure.
18. Review, study and implement quality management system procedure. Prepare daily attendance sheet, weekly report and monthly report.
19. Keep the site tidy and clean. Display all the materials in a proper way and return any unwanted/excess material to the store. etc.

Requirements
1. 3-5 years of experience in UAE.
2. Salary: To be discussed during the interview.
3. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
4. Relevant experience in the construction industry.
