Job Description – Electrician (Model Making)

Job Title: Electrician – Model Making Department

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to carry out electrical installation and wiring for architectural models, scale models, and other customized model-making projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and connect LED lights, wiring, switches, and other electrical components in architectural and scale models.
• Carry out electrical wiring for miniature buildings, streetlights, interiors, and other model features.
• Install lighting systems in architectural models, including internal and external illumination.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in models.
• Work closely with model makers and the production team to integrate electrical components into models.
• Read electrical layouts, drawings, and project specifications.
• Ensure neat wiring, proper connections, and a high-quality finish.
• Test all electrical components and lighting systems before project delivery.
• Maintain electrical tools, materials, and equipment in good condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and complete tasks within project deadlines.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in electrical wiring, preferably in architectural model making, scale models, exhibition models, or miniature lighting.
• Knowledge of LED lighting, low-voltage wiring, switches, and power supplies.
• Good hand skills and the ability to work with small and delicate components.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and follow technical instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with the production team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with miniature lighting and architectural models.
• Knowledge of soldering and small electrical connections.
• Ability to conceal wiring neatly within models.
• Experience working with acrylic, MDF, and other model-making materials is an advantage.

Pay: AED1,600.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
