Pest Control Technician

We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team.

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting residential, commercial, and industrial properties in Dubai, identifying pest infestations, and executing safe, effective chemical and non-chemical treatments. This role focuses strictly on technical pest management operations, diagnostics, and customer advisory.

The Pest Control Technician must perform all duties in accordance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and applicable Dubai Municipality (DM) Public Health Pest Control Section regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Diagnosis:

Conduct thorough internal and external property inspections to identify pest species, harborages, entry points, and the severity of infestations (e.g., cockroaches, bed bugs, rodents, termites, ants, flies, mosquitoes).

Map out affected zones and assess structural or sanitation vulnerabilities contributing to pest activity.

Treatment & Application:

Formulate and apply approved pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides, gels, and baits according to label instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and Dubai Municipality guidelines.

Execute specialized treatments such as general pest control (GPC), rodent management, bed bug thermal/chemical eradication, or anti-termite pre/post-construction treatments (where certified).

Utilize and calibrate specialized pest control equipment (e.g., compression sprayers, ULV foggers, dusting equipment, monitoring stations).

Integrated Pest Management (IPM):

Design and implement long-term preventive and curative IPM strategies tailored to the property type.

Recommend exclusion methods, hygiene improvements, and structural repairs to clients.

Documentation & Reporting:

Complete digital or physical service reports for every visit, detailing findings, chemical products used, active ingredients, dosage quantities, and safety recommendations.

Maintain accurate records as mandated by municipal auditing requirements.

Customer Service & Communication:

Explain treatment procedures, safety precautions, and post-treatment guidelines clearly to clients or facility managers.

Address customer concerns professionally and report complex site issues to the Pest Control Supervisor.

Equipment & Safety Compliance:

Maintain, clean, and store personal protective equipment (PPE) and application gear in safe, working order.

Adhere strictly to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and hazardous material handling rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

Certification (Mandatory):

Minimum Grade 12 / High School Certificate.

Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Pest Control Technician / Operator Card, active and officially registered in Dubai.

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on field pest control experience within the UAE/Dubai market.

Practical experience in pest inspection, identification, treatment, monitoring, and prevention procedures.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong knowledge of pest control procedures, treatment methods, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.

Strong knowledge of local public health pest biology, habits, and lifecycle stages.

Knowledge of pest control chemicals, including safe handling, correct dilution, application, and storage procedures.

Familiarity with Dubai Municipality requirements, approved pest control products, and applicable health and safety standards.

Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.

Ability to safely operate pest equipment, including sprayers, traps, bait stations, fogging equipment, and monitoring devices.

Good communication skills in English (Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an added advantage).

Basic digital literacy and ability to use mobile-based service reporting applications.

Physical & Work Conditions:

Physically fit and capable of handling pest control equipment, carrying required gear, and performing field-based pest control activities.

Ability to work in difficult-to-access areas across multi-story commercial and residential properties when required.

Ability to work on a scheduled or rotational shift basis as required by the client.
