About the Company
Jood Building Contracting is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in UAE building construction, with practical experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and detailed cost estimates.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Obtain, review, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and costs to ensure effective cost control.
- Prepare interim payment applications, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Manage variation orders, contractual claims, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Conduct cost comparisons and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, project costs, and contractual correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and UAE construction practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the UAE is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is required.
- Proven experience in building construction and contracting projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and cost control.
- Practical experience in variation orders, interim payments, and final account preparation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and relevant quantity surveying software.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and contractual documentation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Important Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have at least 3 years of UAE construction industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- A Civil Engineering or Architecture degree is compulsory.
- Candidates who do not meet the minimum experience and educational requirements will not be considered.
- Applicants must clearly state their UAE experience, qualifications, relevant projects, and software skills in their CV.
