Waiter (For Catering Services)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring exceptional level of guest service at all stages, from the welcoming, through service and until the guests' departure from the outlet. Understands all the service procedures of the outlet and make sure that they are properly followed at all times. Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the section assigned and the availability and condition of common utensils and equipments used.

Key Results Areas

·Greets patrons and escort them to appropriate seating.

·Presents menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.

·Informs customers of daily specials.

·Takes orders from patrons for food or beverages.

·Writes patrons' food orders on order slips, memorizes orders, or enters orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.

·Serves food or beverages to patrons, and prepares or serves specialty dishes at tables as required.

·Checks with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and takes action to correct any problems.

·Removes dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.

·Prepares checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.

·Collects payments from customers.

·Arranges table setup according to customer requirements for banquet functions.

·Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience

·High school diploma

·At least 6 months working experience in related field.

Skills

·Customer Service Oriented

·Presentable

·Good natured, cooperative attitude

·High proficiency level in English Language.
