Helper - Marble & Tiles Factory

Key responsibilities:

• Material handling: Load and unload marble slabs, blocks, and tile pallets using proper lifting methods, trolleys, A-frames, or forklifts operated by authorized staff.
• Production support: Assist machine operators with cutting, polishing, edging, and calibrating marble and tiles by feeding materials, positioning slabs, and removing finished pieces.
• Measuring and marking: Help measure, mark, and prepare slabs and tiles to the sizes given by the supervisor.
• Finishing work: Wash, dry, and clean slabs and tiles, and apply resin, mesh backing, or protective coating as instructed.
• Quality checks: Inspect pieces for cracks, chips, color variation, or size defects, and report faulty items to the supervisor.
• Packing and dispatch: Pack tiles and slabs in cartons, crates, or wooden frames, label them correctly, and help load them onto trucks without damage.
• Stock arrangement: Arrange slabs and tile stock in the warehouse and yard by type, size, and batch, and help with stock counting.
• Housekeeping: Keep machines, floors, and work areas clean by removing slurry, dust, and waste, and dispose of scrap properly.
• Equipment care: Help with basic cleaning of machines and tools, and report any faults or unusual noises right away.
• Safety compliance: Wear all required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, goggles, dust mask, ear protection, helmet), follow factory safety rules, and report accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other duties: Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy items and work on your feet for long hours.
• Previous factory, stone, or construction material experience preferred, but not essential.
• Basic ability to follow instructions and read measurements.
• Good teamwork, punctuality, and attention to safety.
• Willingness to work in dusty, noisy environments and in shifts if required.

Pay: AED800.00 - AED1,000.00 per month
