Laundry Pressman

Job Summary

The Laundry Pressman is responsible for pressing, finishing, and preparing guest garments, staff uniforms, and resort linens to the highest quality standards. The role ensures all laundry items are wrinkle-free, clean, and presented in excellent condition while maintaining productivity, safety, and exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate steam presses, ironing machines, and other pressing equipment.
• Press garments, uniforms, linens, and other fabric items according to fabric type and care instructions.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, missing buttons, or other defects before and after pressing.
• Fold, hang, and package finished items for delivery or storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area.
• Follow safety procedures while operating laundry equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Handle customer garments with care to prevent damage.
• Assist with other laundry operations as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a laundry, dry-cleaning, hotel, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of different fabric types and proper pressing techniques.
• Ability to operate steam presses and related laundry equipment safely.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift laundry bundles, and perform repetitive tasks.
