Role Overview

We are seeking an autonomous, results-driven Finance Lead to take full, independent ownership of financial operations, banking relationships, cash flow, reporting, compliance, and controls. This is a senior leadership role requiring independent decision-making and direct direction of the finance function, rather than a supportive or execution-only accounting role.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting: Direct end-to-end accounting, month/year-end closes, and IFRS-compliant financial statement preparation and approvals.
• Banking Relationships & Treasury: Build and independently manage strategic relationships with local UAE banks and Relationship Managers (RMs); handle facility negotiations, credit lines, guarantees, daily treasury activities, and liquidity planning.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to guide strategic executive decisions.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, FTA compliance, and support regulatory submissions (including VARA licensing).
• Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate internal/external audits, ensure audit-ready records, and enforce robust financial controls.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team, setting high performance standards, workflows, and strict accountability.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and automation across financial and reporting systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA preferred).
• 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, FTA laws, and UAE local banking/treasury processes.
• Proven track record of independent leadership, active banking relationship management, decision-making, and delivering financial results.
• Prior expertise in Oil and Gas trading, Real Estate, Retail trading OR International Trade is preferred.

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
