Electrical BIM Modeler

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Prepare electrical shop drawings, installation drawings, coordinated layouts, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Model electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, containment, cable trays, trunking, conduits, and low-current systems.
• Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, plumbing, firefighting, and architectural/structural disciplines.
• Identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks and other coordination tools.
• Prepare coordinated shop drawings based on IFC drawings, consultant comments, and site requirements.
• Support site teams with electrical setting-out, installation details, and drawing revisions.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with site engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Update BIM models based on site changes and prepare as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and approved drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve design and installation conflicts.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Electrical BIM Modeling within MEP contracting projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Practical experience preparing electrical shop drawings for site execution.
• Good knowledge of electrical containment, lighting, power, cable routing, and low-current systems.
• Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection using Navisworks.
• Ability to interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and coordinated MEP layouts.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements is preferred.
• Strong coordination skills and the ability to work under project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Previous experience with MEP contractors on building construction projects.
• Must understand site installation requirements and electrical shop drawing coordination.
• Candidates with UAE project experience and immediate availability will be preferred.

Pay: AED3,700.00 - AED8,600.00 per month
