Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and competent Paramedic to provide emergency medical care, pre-hospital treatment, and emergency response services in Naoero. Candidates must have hands-on experience managing medical emergencies, trauma cases, and critically ill patients with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, accidents, trauma cases, and other urgent medical situations.
• Conduct patient assessments, identify clinical priorities, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Independently manage emergency cases within the limits of professional training, clinical protocols, and scope of practice.
• Administer emergency medications, including injectable and controlled medications where legally authorized, in accordance with approved protocols.
• Perform CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and other relevant emergency procedures as qualified.
• Provide airway management, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, wound management, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' responses to treatment.
• Safely prepare and transport patients while providing continuous monitoring and care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documentation, medication logs, and incident reports.
• Check and maintain emergency equipment, medical supplies, and ambulance readiness.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, hospitals, and other emergency response personnel when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Paramedic or in a comparable emergency medical services role.
• Recognized Paramedic qualification and valid professional registration or licence, as applicable.
• Proven ability to assess and manage emergency cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong practical knowledge of emergency medications, dosage calculations, indications, contraindications, and safe administration.
• Experience handling medical emergencies, trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, and other acute conditions.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; PHTLS or ITLS certification is an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, communication, and patient-handling skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure emergency situations.
• Willingness to relocate to Naoero (Nauru).
