We are looking for a Junior Safety Officer with experience in the construction industry to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of construction site safety practices, hazard identification, risk assessment, and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily construction site activities to identify potential safety hazards and unsafe practices.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and assist in safety audits.
- Ensure workers comply with health and safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Promote the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in implementing health and safety procedures and risk control measures.
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for workers.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to management.
- Maintain safety inspection reports, incident records, and other HSE documentation.
- Assist in investigating workplace accidents and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and workers to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices are followed across the construction site.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification or certification in Occupational Health and Safety (HSE).
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer or Junior Safety Officer in a construction company is required.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and UAE health and safety regulations.
- Good understanding of risk assessments, hazard identification, and PPE requirements.
- Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with site teams and construction workers.
- Must be available to join immediately.
