Planning & Cost Control Engineer
Hydrotech Line Contracting and Water DistributionWe are looking for an experienced Planning & Cost Control Engineer to join our team for infrastructure and water distribution projects in Fujairah. Candidates with prior ETIHAD WE project experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work programs, and progress updates.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, and targets.
- Prepare progress reports, look-ahead plans, and resource forecasts.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, and cost performance.
- Analyze project variances and recommend corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to track project progress and resource requirements.
- Prepare quantity tracking, cost reports, and project performance analyses.
- Assist with claims, variations, extension-of-time submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure planning and cost control activities comply with project requirements and client/authority standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning and cost control for infrastructure or civil construction projects.
- Experience in water pipeline and water distribution network projects is highly preferred.
- Previous experience with ETIHAD WE projects or similar UAE water utility authorities is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring, cost estimation, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare detailed project reports, cash flow forecasts, and progress measurement documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate: A detail-oriented professional with proven planning and cost control experience in UAE infrastructure projects, preferably involving ETIHAD WE water networks.
