Carpenter

Palm Living are looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our interior design and fit-out team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in joinery, custom furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, and interior fit-out installation. The candidate must be able to read technical drawings, work with various materials, and deliver high-quality workmanship according to project specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute carpentry and joinery works for interior design and fit-out projects.
• Manufacture and assemble custom furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, wall panels, counters, and other interior fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and cutting lists.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, and other related materials.
• Carry out on-site installation of joinery items, furniture, and interior fixtures as required.
• Ensure all work meets approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Operate carpentry tools, woodworking machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with supervisors, factory managers, designers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify and report material defects, drawing discrepancies, and installation issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized working area.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and complete assigned tasks within project deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a carpenter in interior design, joinery, or fit-out companies
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, furniture production, and interior installation.
• Ability to read and understand technical and shop drawings.
• Experience working with MDF, plywood, solid wood, laminates, veneers, and other interior finishing materials.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing carpentry products.
• Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a factory or on project sites as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in luxury residential, commercial
• Knowledge of bespoke furniture, decorative wall cladding, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and custom joinery.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight project schedules.
