Palm Living is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator & Cost Control Manager to join our team in Dubai.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who can manage commercial accuracy, project cost control, and profitability throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. BOQ Review & Verification
- Review and verify BOQs before quotations are submitted to clients.
- Ensure quantities, specifications, materials, and pricing are accurate.
- Identify missing scope, discrepancies, and estimation errors.
2. Shop Drawing & BOQ Coordination
- Review finalized shop drawings against the client-approved BOQ.
- Verify quantities, dimensions, materials, and specifications.
- Identify variations and cost implications before procurement and production.
3. Monthly Project Cost Control
- Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Track material, production, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and forecast remaining project expenses.
- Monitor expected profitability and identify potential cost overruns.
4. Final Project Profitability Reporting
- Prepare final commercial reports upon project completion.
- Compare estimated costs against actual project expenditure.
- Calculate final project profit and profit margins.
- Identify financial discrepancies and recommend improvements for future projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in estimation and cost control.
- Strong background in interior fit-out, joinery, and furniture projects.
- Proven experience in the UAE market.
- Excellent knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, pricing, and commercial reporting.
- Ability to read and review detailed shop drawings.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
