Scrub Nurse ( Eye Clinic)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrub Nurse to join our ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmic surgical procedures, excellent knowledge of sterile techniques, and the ability to assist ophthalmologists in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies for ophthalmic procedures.
• Assist ophthalmologists during cataract surgeries and other ophthalmic surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and ensure a sterile surgical environment.
• Handle ophthalmic instruments, surgical equipment, intraocular lenses (IOLs), and consumables.
• Perform surgical counts and complete relevant documentation according to facility protocols.
• Ensure surgical equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
• Coordinate with surgeons, circulating nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance policies.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate availability of surgical supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license or eligibility for DHA licensure from the relevant healthcare authority.
• 4 Years experience as a Scrub Nurse in ophthalmology is preferred.
• Experience in cataract surgery and other ophthalmic procedures is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
