Financial Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting principles.

Candidates with an audit background will be preferred; however, audit experience is not mandatory. The key requirement is a solid understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and accounting practices. A DipIFR qualification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and financial transactions.
• Handle journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management.
• Review accounting transactions and ensure appropriate IFRS treatment.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Assist with VAT and UAE Corporate Tax reporting and compliance.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards is mandatory.
• DipIFR qualification is highly preferred.
• Relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Previous audit experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• DipIFR (Diploma in International Financial Reporting).
• ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualifications.
• Experience working in an audit or accounting firm.
• Practical experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements.

Working Days & Hours

Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
